Hello Earthlings 👋🏾,

A few years back, I took my very first camping trip. Just two nights at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, FL. We went in with a tiny budget got everything we needed. Came out with something pretty priceless; that deep down feeling of freedom you only get when you realize how little you actually need.

We bought a tent ⛺️ , a skillet 🍳, some food from the market🥦, and a couple of basics like sleeping bags and fishing bait, the rest we just brought from home. It was simple, it was affordable, and honestly, it was a peaceful experience. A real proof of concept for the kind of slow, intentional, alternative living life.

Some friends and I went and did a little swimming and fishing at the lake. Started a campfire as well. So much fun with the fam and just being able to look up at the sky at night . 🌌

The campground has tons of trails, creeks, lakes, and grills. Great for a weekend reset. I’m trying to be more outdoorsy because it’s honestly my peace. I even saw a few gators! But what stuck with me most were the cool, winding trees, in which I filmed them because they were so mesmerizing.
Later, I learned this area is part of the Palatlakaha basin; a Seminole name for long and winding water. It made perfect sense. Those trees weren’t just growing; they were telling the old story of the land, shaped by the same slow, persistent force that carved the rivers and lakes I’d been exploring.

A good reminder that the most beautiful forms often come from adapting to the flow, not fighting it. 💚
Much love.
