With just a few ingredients and a good cooking pan, you can create a dish that’s not only delicious but also visually appealing.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Green beans
  • Coconut Oil and Butter
  • Garlic cloves, minced or freshly chopped
  • Slat and pepper to taste
  • optional: Lemon Zest, red pepper flakes, fresh grated parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Wash and trim the green beans: Start by washing the green beans thoroughly under cold water and them trimming off the ends. (optional cut them into chunks)
  2. Heat the pan: Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of coconut oil and a little butter. Let the oil heat up until it shimmers but doesn’t smoke.
  3. Sauté the garlic: Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 30 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn. (They should be “browning” but not dark brown)
  4. Add the green beans: Carefully add the green beans to the pan in a single layer, making sure they’re not overcrowded. This allows them to sear evenly.
  5. Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper over the green beans to taste. you can also add other seasonings like fresh lemon zest or red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
  6. Sear the green beans: Let the green beans cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to develop a golden brown sear on one side. Then, flip them over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender yet still crisp.
  7. Serve: Once the green beans are cooked to your desired doneness, remove them from the pan transfer them to a serving dish. If desired, sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan cheese for added flavor. Serve alongside your favorite main dish or enjoy them as a healthier snack. Either way, be prepared for a burst of flavor with every bite!
